What is Employer Engagement?
Over the past three years, the Center has demonstrated its capacity to “Mind the Gap” between workforce preferences and employer practices with evidence-based research and tools designed for workplace decision makers.  
  
Our commitment to employer-engaged research is a critical part of our mission. We’ve designed our employer
partnership strategy to maximize our ability to create innovative rigorous research studies to provide you the evidence you need to support effective decision-making.   

We offer the following scenarios for partnership:

Center Partner 
Provide core funding for our intellectual capital which will enable the Center to further develop our research capacities.  Center partners receive priority access to the Center’s best thinking, an opportunity to bring a leading Center researcher onsite for a one-day strategy session, and the ability to contribute to the conception of new studies and projects.

Center Affiliate 
Receive access to cutting-edge knowledge and resources of the Center on Aging & Work for a broad spectrum of organizations. 

Research Engagements 
Provide opportunities for employers to actively participate in a variety of research projects and practitioner learning models.

In recognition of every employer’s need to align and structure these partnership opportunities within a budget, both the Center Partner and Center Affiliate first-cycles will extend from July 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009.
