According to analysis of U.S. Census data by the Congressional Research Service, "in March 2007, 49% of men aged 62 to 64 were employed. Of men aged 65 to 69, 33%, were employed, compared with 27% in 1995 and 26% in 1990. Among women 62 to 64 years old, 42% were working in March 2007, compared with 32% in 1995 and 28% in 1990, whereas among women 65 to 69 years old, 26% were working, compared with 17% in 1995 and 1990."
