According to the September 2005 Current Population Survey (CPS), 27.3% of men aged 55 to 64 volunteered for an organization, while 32.8% of women aged 55 to 64 volunteered for an organization. (Table 1) *Note: Data on volunteers relate to persons who performed unpaid volunteer activities for an organization at any point from September 1, 2004, through the survey period in September 2005.
