Boris B. Baltes, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at Wayne State University in Detroit. He received his degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Northern Illinois University. He also has an MBA in international business from the University of Wisconsin. His research interests include: biases in performance appraisal, age and workplace issues, and work-family balance.

His work has appeared in many journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. He is a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Organizational Behavior and is on the editorial board of various journals.
